University of Cyprus
UCY
The University of Cyprus (UCY) established in 1989, is a vigorous community of scholars engaged in the generation and diffusion of knowledge. Despite its brief history, the University of Cyprus has earned the respect of the international academic community and the appreciation of Cypriot society. Based in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, it is a modern, diverse, and evolving student-centred institution. Striving for excellence in education, research and innovation, has rendered it one of the leading institutions in Europe, evidenced by its continuously elevated rankings (placed 601-700 in Shanghai List 2020 and 501-600 in the Times Higher Education Rankings 2021). Aspiring to function as a beacon of scientific thought, diversity, inclusiveness, equity and creativity, UCY envisions its future as a leading institution in the greater Euro-Mediterranean area. With around 7.000 students and 800 faculty and staff members, UCY is a rapidlyexpanding university and the biggest employer in Cyprus for young graduates and researchers. It currently employs about 700 young scientists using external research funds. Its 8 faculties and 22 departments offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, whilst its numerous, highly cited researchers give UCY a cutting edge. All programmes of academic study function under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), furthermore awarding the Diploma Supplement with DS Lab.

Association of European Schools of Planning AESOP
With over 150 members, AESOP is the only representation of planning schools of Europe. Given this unique position, AESOP strengthens its profile as a professional body. AESOP mobilizes its resources, taking a leading role and entering its expertise into ongoing debates and initiatives regarding planning education and planning qualifications of future professionals. AESOP promotes its agenda with professional bodies, politicians and all other key stakeholders in spatial and urban development and management across Europe. AESOP's was founded in 1987 and has been registered as a non-profit association under Belgian law since May 1992. A new AESOP Charter was accepted by AESOP Council of Representatives on 5th May 2012 in Oslo. This Charter version was updated in accordance to the Belgian law on 20th December 2017. The core requirements for a high-quality European Planning Education were established in 1995 by AESOP to define a set of common principles suitable for a high-quality planning education all over Europe. The core requirements represent the common principles and values shared by our member schools. AESOP uses these guidelines to assess applicants for full membership.
AESOP is promoting the development of teaching and research in the field of planning within Europe, instigating cooperation and exchanges between planning schools in Europe, and encouraging the harmonisation and equivalence of degrees which they award. Furthermore, it coordinates initiatives which include other stakeholders in planning, and representing the interests of European planning schools, at national and international level.

Noumena
Noumena is a design and tech company implementing data-informed solutions for spatial analytics and strategic planning. Since 2011, Noumena has developed practice integrating cutting-edge technologies to study and analyze spatial dynamics. Founded by Aldo Sollazzo, Efilena Baseta, and Chirag Rangholia, Noumena’s mission is todevelop metrics and instruments to empower decision-makers towards more efficient, resilient, and sustainable spatialsolutions. Noumena has been involved in multiple initiatives, operating on the built and environmental scale to define design protocolsdriven by data and machine learning. Spatial analytics are intended as the process of extracting or creating new informationabout a set of geographic features to perform routine examination, assessment, evaluation, analysis or data modelling in aspecific area. In this context, Noumena is integrating robotics, computer vision, machine learning and novel forms of data in combination with computational approaches to offer a clearer insight into urban habitats, on-site construction operations or even micro-farming organizations.
Noumena is operating in the fields of robotics integrating spatial metrics and image analytics to decode complex spatial dynamics. It digitises the physical environment, introducing robotics as tools for spatial observations. We implement autonomous robots to collect data, detecting and monitoring the physical characteristics of a site through cameras and on-board sensors. Our goal is to integrate optical data to establish criteria for spatial decision making. We are experts inreconstructing built environments and converting physical components into data. We are adopting state-of-the-art technologies to digitally reconstruct faithful spatial representations. Noumena develops digital twins to optimise the maintenance operations of physical assets, systems and manufacturing processes. We develop spatial algorithms to reveal invisible patterns of human behaviour and its spatial expression. Through computer vision and machine learning, Noumena implements strategies to track and monitor spatial dynamics, uncovering associations between each individual component. Our aim is to produce informative geographical representations of spatial occupancy to drive strategies such as energy building consumption, urban analytics, farming practices or management for on-site construction.
